Little Boracay in Santa Maria

I have not been to Boracay, yet, but I have basked in the sand of Little Boracay. Situated in the Santa Maria, Little Boracay offers the same white sand Boracay has. The only difference is that Little Boracay is not as crowded as Boracay. Thus, being one with nature can be easily fulfilled with true serenity.

Sadly, I have not visited the place for a long time now. I wish I could go back and reminisce the first time I visited such a beautiful place.

Car CD Player

The CD player of my father’s pick up should leave as it could only play CDA. So, I’m considering this car CD player by Kenwood.

The USB connector and auxiliary input of this CD player can be located easily as they are attached at the front panel. Essentially, this Kenwood CD player allows me to play music through a recordable CD or iPod. It also comes with AM/FM tuner.

We are still waiting for someone to buy that old car CD player, so we can purchase such.

Online Backup Services

While reading a few articles about the importance of online backup services. I am now considering signing up with one of the reliable services for online backup.

Factors to consider when finding the right online backup or storage solution:

Determine the storage space.
The interface should be user-friendly.
Special program that allows access of saved files easily.
It should provide versioning.
A free trial.
Flexible scheduling.
Of course, security.

So far, no online backup solution has satisfied my needs.

Kindle of Amazon -- I Want

I want Amazon’s Kindle...

- After reading a few pages of an e-book, my eyes hurt and I need to apply Genteal. But Kindle prevents eye strain as it allows reading like real paper.

- The fonts of Kindle are clear and sharp.

- I can read my favorite e-books easily under bright sunlight as Kindle’s screen does not reflect light.

- I do not have to charge it every now and then as Kindle offers longer battery life and does not get warm.

- I can read e-book through Kindle before bedtime as it does not affect sleep.

… but I am still waiting for my Google Adsense Payment to purchase Kindle... Sigh...

Why Blind People Wear Dark Glasses?

I was walking down the street of Ponciano when I came across a blind person wearing dark glasses while begging for alms.

My first thought was, if he was blind, why did he wear dark glasses?

To answer my bewildering question, I conducted a research and found two answers: cosmetic and non-cosmetic.

The majority of the visually impaired individuals are highly sensitive to light. As a result, they need to wear dark glasses to lessen the amount of light entering the retina.

Personalized Flash Drive for Photographers: Sometimes One-Size-Fits-All Does Not Work

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PhotoFlashDrive by Pexagon Technology. All opinions are 100% mine.

For some photographers, one-size-fits-all does not work because not all of them are the same. Each has his or her own taste and needs. For that reason, Pexagon Technology  is offering 25% discount on their personalized USB flash drives, portable hard drives, and other custom products to photographers.
photography flash drives
Pexagon’s flash drives for photographers and other custom products do not require minimum fees, set-up fees, and imprint charge. But they do provide a quick turn around.

Some of the personalized products available at Pexagon would include:

Thumb drives, swivel drives
Dog tags
Smartphone cases
Mouse Pads
...and so on

In the US, many photographers utilize custom and personalized photography flash drives and hard drives from Pexagon. They are made in the USA; thus, quality is ensured.

On another note, engraving of logo can be done on the front and up to 2 lines of text on the back. If you are a photographer, you can take advantage of this offer as it can help you advertise your name or studio name.

Well, you can use them as a thank-you gift to your customers. You can order personalized flash drives with your studio name on it and give them out to your customers. Or you can order a personalized flash drive according to your customer’s needs.

The personalized products of Pexagon are not limited to one color and style. You can select from multiple styles and colors that can represent who you are.

If you are ready to create a "name" in the photography industry, you can start ordering your personalized USB flash drives and hard drives at Pexagon.

Hoffman Appliances at NCCC Mall a Fraud?

Last Saturday, we were at the NCCC Mall not to shop and buy. But because of the attractive offering from one booth (near KFC and Dunkin Donuts), we ended up purchasing a set of appliances from Hoffman, a supposed-brand made in Germany. The whole set (PHP 69,999/$1590+)includes: induction cooker, alkaline water filter, entertainment set with 3D ready LCD, and stainless steel cookware. Here’s another kicker: Its LCD does not need 3D glasses. I was doubtful about it because I think a technology like this is still being developed.

When we got home, I searched for Hoffman induction cooker. But the official website of that brand does not carry such appliance. When I typed in Hoffman induction cooker using Google search, I was surprised to see a forum about “Hoffman products purportedly a scam.”

It was almost the same strategy they used to “deceive” us. Then, when my brother checked the amplifier, he realized that it was “analog not in digital technology.”

So, we called them up and asked for their explanation. We also verified their service center in DC. Unfortunately, they do not have any. That means, if one of the appliances would break down, we would just dispose them.

Anyway, it will be my brother’s call to file a complaint against them because it was his card we used to purchase those items.

Were we duped? Not sure but I think we were.
