One of the scenic highlights I want to visit in New Zealand is the breathtaking view of Milford Sound located in Fiordland.
I just want to listen to the thundering sound of its waterfalls.
I am itching to touch the smooth skin of Milford Sound's native dolphins.
And most of all, I crave for the adrenaline rush when I go sea kayaking to explore the wildlife of Milford Sound in New Zealand.
Ah, New Zealand, I'll be lost in your embrace.

I wish I could go back to the time when axillary hair or armpit hair in women was an acceptable sight. It was the time when women did not bother plucking, waxing, and using other ways to remove unwanted hair that continuously grow in the underarm.
Hair removal through plucking is never a soothing process of eliminating unwanted underarm hair. Waxing, on the other hand, is less harrowing than plucking. Nonetheless, both processes are unkind to my skin and they always bring tears to my eyes.
Whoever started that unwanted hair removing practice should be cursed.

As my desire to travel to New Zealand heightened, I started searching for the cheapest airfare from the Philippines to New Zealand. Unfortunately, there are no flights that would take me directly to New Zealand. Travel agents suggested taking Manila-Hong-Kong-New-Zealand route.
The Air New Zealand's HK$6,690 is the cheapest airfare I found so far. That offer has a travel period from March 1 to May 10, 2010.

After an estimated 10-hour flight from Hong Kong to New Zealand, I would definitely liven up my body soaking in the salted water of Piha—most famous surf beach in New Zealand.
Then, I would go catch some fish in the picturesque wilderness of Muriwai Beach. And party all night in one of the bars in Viaduct Harbour.
Ah, New Zealand… I wish you were just a few meters away from me.

Gibo For President: Why Not?
Because of a significant number of positive reviews about Fringe TV series, curiosity struck me so I downloaded the first episode of its first season. The first scene found me breathless. However, the excitement slowly dwindled when I saw Agent Scott (Mark Valley) and Agent Dunham (Anna Torv, the Cate Blanchett, Maria Sharapova, and Claire Danes wrapped into one) in the second scene. Mark Valley is just too old for my taste.
I almost stopped from watching the rest of the episode until I saw Peter Bishop played by Joshua Jackson. He is the same adorable guy in The Mighty Ducks and Dawson's Creek.

The excitement twisted back during the first meeting of Olivia and Peter. Their chemistry exuded instantly and was felt by me, especially when Joshua's penetrating blue eyes gazed at Anna's beautiful green eyes.
I am still on season 1. But based on Fringe's reviews I gathered, these two do not seem to have a real romantic scene, like those amorous episodes involving Scott and Dunham. But then again, I just hope the writers of Fringe would heed to the cravings of their fans for more exciting, not to mention passionate scenes between Olivia Dunham and Peter Bishop. That would really make my day.

Apart from its stupendous sceneries, New Zealand is not at all crowded, unlike the Philippines. With only 4 million people living in this place which is comparable to the size of Great Britain, it is a perfect sanctuary for me to relax.
People, who have been in and out of New Zealand, dubbed the place as an ideal year-round holiday destination.
New Zealand’s climate is quite tolerable with average maximum temperature that falls between 20-30 degrees Celsius in summer and between 10-15 degrees Celsius in winter. Like in the Philippines, the weather can change anytime.
To help me get to New Zealand, I need to find a travel agent first.

Because I am a sucker for a good romance, I was wishing I could get my hands on the novel, Dear John by Nicholas Sparks, before its film adaptation will be shown in the movie theaters.
Owing to Nicholas Sparks’ Dear John’s light, easy reading, National Book Store labeled it as one of its bestsellers, ergo, it easily became unavailable because of high-demand. To prove it, Dear John is inaccessible in all branches of National Book Store here in Davao City.
Although the plot is surely predictable and its love story may not be realistic, I still want to seek refuge and escape with Nicholas Sparks’ Dear John.

Apart from the rice terraces in which Banaue is known for, I am also looking forward to see other tourist attractions seated in this province of Ifugao. Like the cascading water of Tappiyah Waterfalls.

Or have my warm bath at Ducligan Hot Spring. A 30-minute drive and a 20-minute walk are the things I should do to reach the hot spring.
Better yet visit Museum of Cordillera Sculpture to further my lore about the history and culture of the Ifugaons.

Gilbert Cojuangco Teodoro, Jr. or better known as Gibo is the almost perfect replacement for the soon-to-be vacant Presidential seat.
Smart:
> A Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Financial Institutions graduate.
Intellectually stimulating:
> Topped the Philippine Bar exams
Shrewd:
> Been awarded the Dean's Medal for Academic Excellence in 1989
Quick-witted:
> Completed Master's Degree at Harvard Law School in Massachusetts.
Adroit:
> Licensed commercial pilot.
Genial:
> Involved in disaster management.
Plus, he uses the color green as his "brand" or "color signature."
In addition, Gibo is, I guess, the only presidential candidate who knows how to give concrete solution for the present problems in the Philippines. The recently ended FOCAP presidential forum in February 2010 proved my point when he said, "The Comelec must have an “honest to goodness” appraisal of the modern voting system, of what it could and could not do, based on the equipment delivered, systems installed and people trained on the ground." (Source: philstar.com)
Gibo's answer provided a more vivid picture than Aquino's retort: "Failure of the machines would not mean failure of elections, but the Commission on Elections (Comelec) must assure the public that it is on track on poll automation." (Source: philstar.com)
But Gibo's apparent tight political relationship with the present administration can be a drawback if he wins.

I stole this from my friend’s friend’s photo album in Facebook. This man… this gorgeous guy with perfect teeth… this delicious male with a perfect smile that never fails to make my heart tremble is Marc Nelson, the most beautiful man in the Philippines. (He is still my ultimate crush, well, second to Justin Hartley.)
I almost had the chance to see him in person when he visited Davao. But our paths did not meet because of professional duties. (I think he is currently dating Enaj, an unknown woman.)

Marc Nelson stands five feet, eleven inches tall with a shoe size of 10. His eye color is dark brown while his hair color is black. He was born on Valentine’s Day which could be the reason for his irresistible and magnetic nature.

After knowing how to get to Banaue…

...you cannot pack your bags, just yet, without knowing where to stay in Banaue.
If you want to see cultural shows performed by the Banaue Heritage Dance Troop or witness performances of Ifugao Native Rituals, then the Banaue Ethnic Village and Pine Forest Resort is the right place for you. This place has included lecture on Ifugao culture and traditions.

How about a place to stay in Banaue where you can just walk few paces away to the town market? Fairview Inn is the perfect place.
But if you want to find a place to stay in Banaue where you can have a panoramic view of the Hapao rice terraces and the Banaue rice terraces, the Hiwang Native House Inn will be your auberge.
Other hostelries you can stay in Banaue would include: Halfway Lodge and Restaurant, Ilob Village Inn, Las Vegas Lodge and Restaurant, People’s Lodge and Restaurant, Ramons’ Homestay, Sanafe Lodge and Restaurant, and Spring Village Inn.

I just followed the recipe I found at WikiHow on how to make fried chicken the KFC way. I prepared the following:
1. 1 kilo of chicken legs
2. 1 ½ cups of flour
3. Instead of 1 pack of dry Good Seasons Italian Dressing, I used Chicken mix.
4. I could not find tomato soup mix, so I just added 1 teaspoon of water to 1 teaspoonful of tomato catsup.
5. 3 eggs
6. 2/3 cup of milk.
7. 1 tablespoon black pepper
8. Vegetable oil
1. After beating the 3 eggs in a bowl, I poured the milk into the said bowl and mix.
2. In another bowl, I mixed the tomato catsup mixture, Chicken mix, black pepper and flour.
3. Each chicken leg was dipped into the batter before covering it with flour mixture.
4. Over a medium heat, I prepared the chicken pieces for eating into the frying pan. With occasional turning and flipping, I waited for 20 minutes before removing the chicken and draining the grease.

I know they don't appear gastronomically appetizing, but they taste way better than KFC.

Or I may call it, a platter that would bust someone’s belly, my belly. With its juicy, mouthwatering half rack grilled baby back ribs, I could not put my gastronomical appetite to a halt.
This belly buster’s platter will induce more cravings while eating the 2 big pieces of rodeo chops plus a block of smoky pork belly.
The Belly Buster of Bigby’s Food Trip Platter would not be complete without its garlic rice. The stony Baguio beans and the palatable few pieces of cooked sweet corn seeds were prepared with butter which balanced everything in the platter.
The downside of this delightful Bigby’s Food Trip Platter called Belly Buster is its onion rings. I eat onion but only when it’s minced. I thought it was Calamares, one of the most famous dishes in the Philippines. So, to avoid devouring the pungent taste of onion, I sliced the ring to reveal the onion and removed it. In other words, I ate the onion rings without the onion. It had a smack of baking powder.
Belly Buster Of Bigby’s Food Trip Platter is good for two to three people with small appetite. But this meal is designed and prepared for one person with a BIG APPETITE, the management says.

Because of the beautifully engineered terraces that started at the base of the mountain going up thousands of feet high, Banaue Rice Terraces are considered as Eighth Wonders Of The World.

How to get to Banaue Rice Terraces?
If your starting point is Manila, you can take a bus that will drive you to Banaue. The trip can be a tedious journey, around 8 to 9 hours. But your boring travel can be eliminated as you pass by Banaue's neighboring provinces, such as Nueva Vizcaya, Bayombong, Solano and Bambang. With the sceneries enveloping those places, you can still savor the moment even on a long-hour trip to Banaue.
How about cheap air flight going directly to Banaue from Manila?
Since there are no direct airports located in Banaue, you need to take the Manila airport. And from there you can opt to take a car or a bus service to reach Banaue. Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines are just some of the airlines that have flights to Manila.
Apart from the pristine Banaue Rice Terraces, you can also enjoy the beauty of Banaue as soon as you step on Tappia Falls. Although a long-hour hike is needed to reach that destination, it is worth your time.

After a few months of persuading my confidante, G finally said "yes" to my proposal—start a blog that will chronicle her struggle, as well as, her triumph against the pesky ovarian cancer.
Her first post narrates her first encounter with the big C—cancer of the ovary. My memory of her in that clean-shaven head while she's on chemotherapy is still fresh. Like G, I, too, could not believe cancer would invade her strong but slim-built body.
Cancer is no stranger to us. Both G and I attended the same school in college. Both of us are graduates of college degrees related to medicine. Our knowledge about cancer is extensive, I could say. But I guess that same knowledge alone did not assist her from stopping that deadly thing.
Fortunately, G and my father, a prostate cancer victim, are living in this world with advanced technology at arm's reach. Through the latest innovative technology that we have now, we are slowly winning the fight against cancer.
I encourage you to explore her blog and learn more about how to win against ovarian cancer.

She has been disqualified to run for congress in Quezon City because of citizenship issue. I thought she was THE Vivien Tan. I was aghast to see she has aged …
Anyway, I know Viviene Tan because she was once an endorser of defunct Addict Mobile of Smart Communications, a mobile phone and Internet service of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT). I never heard of her since 2004 (?). For that reason, I was surprised to get an update of her being disqualified or delisted from the voter's list in a certain district. Vivienne Tan and Vivien Tan are two different people.
